Tax Deductible Donation of Cash or Goods via the BECS Foundation
The Bahamas Education, Culture, and Science Foundation, BECS, was founded to support organizations and institutions in The Bahamas that are involved in tertiary education, cultural endeavors, and scientific research. The BECS Foundation was incorporated as a not-for-profit foundation in the State of Florida in 2003, and has full approval from the IRS as a 501c3 tax-free organization. Donations from organizations and individuals in the U.S. to the GRC made through the BECS Foundation are tax deductible. For more information, please email Kathy Gerace

Wish List
The GRC operates under Dr. Gerace's basic principle of providing field research opportunities for students at the lowest cost possible. This means that purchases made by the GRC are usually based on need, rather than want. Many schools and organizations surplus items that are still functional, and would be much appreciated at the GRC. Of course, new items are happily accepted as well. Please keep in mind that anything that comes to us as "free" is not necessarily at no cost to the GRC. Items donated must be shipped, which is very costly, and we must pay duty on most items received. For this reason we ask that our supporters do not send any items to the GRC without approval from the Executive Director, unless they are also willing to transport and pay duty on the items donated. For items to qualify as a tax deductible donation, please make the donation through the BECS Foundation. Please refer to our wish list for guidance on items that would be particularly appreciated.
