GRC Student Grants
The GRC Student Grants Program has been set-up to support student research at the Gerace Research Centre on San Salvador, Bahamas. These grants are designed to support undergraduate honors projects and Master's and Ph.D. Theses. The value of the grant is $800.00, plus reduced room & board ($45.00 per night), vehicle use (free), and dive tank rental (free) while working at the GRC in the year of the award. There is no limit on the number of times a student may receive an award, however, preference will be given to those who have not been supported in the last three years. The deadline for application is January 30, 2009. Notice of awards will be sent out in early March 2009.
To apply for a GRC Student Grant, the following conditions must exist:
The applicant must currently be enrolled in a undergraduate, master's or Ph.D. program.
A completed application, including Research Proposal must be submitted by January 30, 2009.
A letter of support from the academic advisor/project supervisor must be submitted by January 30, 2009.
